Delete your account
Last updated 9 August 2026
You can close your Ragxen Books account at any time. This page explains exactly what happens to your data, including the part we are legally required to keep.
How to request deletion
Email privacy@ragxen.com from the address you use to sign in, with your business name. We will confirm within two working days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Owners can also request it from the app: More → Business settings → Close account.
What is deleted
- Your login: email address, password hash and session tokens.
- Staff logins you created.
- Your personal contact details, name, mobile number.
- Your customer and supplier contact records: names, phones, emails.
- Products, quotations and any draft documents never issued.
What we must keep, and why
GST law requires every issued tax invoice, credit note and debit note to be retained for 72 months from the due date of the annual return for that year. We cannot delete those documents on request without putting you in breach, if an assessment or audit follows, the records have to exist.
So we keep, for that period and no longer:
- Issued invoices, credit notes and debit notes, with the line items and tax on them.
- The buyer name and GSTIN printed on those documents, because they are part of the document.
- Payment records against those documents.
These are locked to statutory access only. They are not used for any other purpose, never form part of a marketing list, and are permanently destroyed once the retention period ends.
Take your data with you first
Deletion cannot be undone. Before requesting it, export what you need: the Reports page produces CSV files of your sales register, GST summary and purchase register, and individual documents can be saved as PDF.
